When I get to the end of a pack of Designer Series Paper (DSP) I usually sit down and create a stack of cards to use it up. I’m sharing some favourite ways to do this with the pieces I tend to have left. Yesterday I showed a few ideas for when I have enough for complete layers. Today I’m using the strips that are left when cutting down 6 x 6 pieces to make full layers.

Making a simple mat is one of the easiest ways to use up these strips. Here I used some retired Blue Foil for both the DSP and sentiment layers.

Adding a bit of sparkle is also fun – this thin strip of Glimmer paper brightens up the card front.

And a partial layer of a contrasting colour cardstock adds visual interest.

Really, the most important thing is to make and send your cards. These may not be the pinnacle of design, but they should give a lift to anyone who receives one.
