This is the card I made on this week’s Facebook Live. I also showed off the new products I’ve received from the upcoming January – July 2022 Mini Catalogue and the January – February Sale-A-Bration event. You can watch the video on YouTube or Facebook. Slim Sayings is a brand-new stamp set with large format sentiments, perfect to add to the trendy slimline card dies named (appropriately) Slim Card Dies.
On the video I used my Blending Brushes to add Pool Party, Pear Pizzazz and So Saffron ink to Shimmery White cardstock. After adding some Adhesive Sheets to the back, I cut it out with one of the dies.
After applying the die cut to a Shimmery White card base, I added a few of the cutout pieces back in with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I also stamped a sentiment from Slim Sayings in Pool Party, fussy-cut it out, and popped it up, too.
After I ended the video I decided to add a few more to the inside of the card:
I also made a slimline envelope out of long-retired Crumb Cake Envelope Paper and the Envelope Punch Board. I used the measurements for 3 ½” x 8 ½” card, which is 9 ¾” x 9 ¾”, with the first score at 3 ⅛”. Sorry- I don’t have the metric equivalents on my board. The long flaps are too wide for the narrow envelope, so I cut them down using one of the edge dies in the set.
2 envelope notes:
- The new catalogue does have slimline envelopes in it on p. 53…I overlooked them when placing my preorder.
- If you want an envelope punch board and live in Australia let me know and I’ll see about sourcing a used one…or wherever you live you can look for the Envelope Punch Board by We R Memory Keepers. It works well with DSP, or printer-weight paper (80-100 gsm) in A3 (metric) or Ledger/Tabloid/11″ x 17″ (imperial) size.
