One of the card groups I belong to on Facebook had a request for cards for an ill friend. The brief was that she’s a purple and cat fanatic, so I ran with that.

I combined a few retired products with some current ones. The Cat Punch, Pastel Pearls and the sentiment from Happy Tails are all retired. I added a bit of sponging on the cats…around the edges on both and a few spots on the body of the bottom one.

The embossing folder is one of the Basics 3D Embossing Folders, which are Online Exclusives.

I wanted the pearls to be like balls the cats are playing with. I know just enough about cats to know that it’s probably not realistic that they’d bat them back-and-forth, but there you go.
If I were to make this card again I’d do it a bit differently – I’d either add a Basic White layer the same size as the Highland Heather layer, just tilted the other direction, or I’d put the Highland Heather layer on straight. Oh, well.
