I recently saw a video tutorial where the Enamel Effects Basics Metallics were used on Vellum to great effect. I decided to try it with the Pearlized set.

I put dots of the Real Red and White medium on a piece of Vellum, then added just a few of the Black, and also a few of the Gold out of the Metallics pack. Then I dabbed and smeared the colours together and let it dry.

After it dried I stamped the flowers from Irresistible Blooms in VersaMark and heat embossed in gold. I cut them out with their coordinating dies, along with other shapes from the Distressed Gold layer. The flowers are mounted on Basic White cardstock.

The sentiment was inked first in VersaMark, then in Granny Apple Green before stamping. This enabled me to heat emboss with clear powder, making the sentiment stand out more than just the coloured ink on its own.

And I added a bit of decoration to the inside as well.
Astute readers of my blog may note that these flowers look similar to the effects I achieved with Stampin’ Blends and alcohol on vellum back in May. These flowers, however, are much shinier since the Enamel Effects are pearlized/metallic. Either are fun techniques to use!
