This is my first play with the Country Birdhouse Bundle. I’ve been wanting to play with it since I saw it at OnStage in March, but had to wait for my preorder to arrive to get it…and then the dies were missing! A quick email to Stampin’ Up! got it sorted and a set on the way to me, but it just delayed my getting stuck into it.

I’ve seen all kinds of great cards with this set, often featuring many of the great Designer Series Paper patterns in both the Country Woods and Country Lace packs. I decided to use just a bit of Country Woods, and use regular cardstock for the rest of my elements.

This bundle is one of two that are in the Country Woods Suite Collection; the other is the Country Flowers bundle. Some of the leaves are in the Birdhouse set, others are from the Flowers set…I love that they coordinate so well for mixing-and-matching!

I wanted to point out that my birdhouse is hanging from a “chain” I created by making a simple chainstitch length of Crumb Cake Baker’s Twine.
After hemminf and hawing over which embellishments to use on this, I finally decided that the now-retired Rustic Metallic Dots were the best choice.
Here are the supplies I used…you can get them all (except the Rustic Metallic Dots) in my Online Store.
