Have you tried the Stampin’ Blends Markers yet? They are our alcohol-ink markers, which work differently than our Stampin’ Write Markers which are water-based ink markers. Each combo pack contains a Light and Dark version of a Stampin’ Up! colour, which makes colouring and shading so fast and easy!
I just counted them up – there are 39 combo packs of Stampin’ Blends…wow!

Here’s my suggestion – choose 6 colours. You can go with colours featured in a suite you’re purchasing, or I’ve put together a list of the 6 I reach for time and time again. I’ve also included the Colour Lifter pen, which is great for lightening colours and cleaning up boo-boos, and the Memento Tuxedo Black ink pad, the basic ink needed to stamp your images to be coloured.
Did you know? Purchasing 6 Stampin’ Blends Combo Packs will be enough to earn one FREE Level 1 Sale-A-Bration item through the end of this month!
Here’s a card I made that uses many of these colours. You can see on the birds that I’ve used the Light Dafodill Delight all over, then gone in and added shading with the Dark Daffodil Delight. I did the same on the leaves with the Old Olive.
Here are a few more cards made with Stampin’ Blends Markers. Again, I choose to start with my light marker all over, then add depth with the dark one. Many of our stamps have shading incorporated into the images, which makes it particularly easy to know where to add the darker colour!
I hope you’ll give the Stampin’ Blends a try…they are really fun and easy to use!
